Hawkes Bay Cricket Assn - Board of Governance. A new system of running Hawkes Bay Cricket is planned to begin this year - namely a Board of 6 Directors with a CEO with be responsible to ensure the game is run professionally in the Province.
Club Members are urged to identify suitable people who can be nominated for selection as a Board Member. Please advise Club Secretary - Angela Willis or a job description and nomination form. Her phone number is 021 488593.

Annual general Meeting is Wednesday 6th September at 7.30pm in Pavilion. All members are urged to attend. Nominations for position on Club Executive must be in the hands of Club Secretary at P. O. Box 11002, Hastings by Friday 1st September 2006.
Winter coaching. The Club has run 5 sessions of Indoor cricket for students at Iona College in the month of May. To be followed by 3 sessions of technical coaching for secondary school female cricketers.
In July we plan to run coaching courses for Junior High School male cricketers and senior students/Club members at Hastings Boys High School.
NEW PRACTICE RUN UP A new astro turf run up carpet has been laid at Cornwall Park to be used by the Clubs juniors and 3rd and 4th grade players.
Additions to Pavilion. Planning is under way to extend our 10 year old Pavilion. More storage is urgently required to hold our gear for the Club's 13 teams. Plus an Office is another necessity.
Players survey. 55 players have been sent a list of questions regarding the clubs operations. They have been asked to judge the Club. The results hopefully will see us improve our performances on and off the field.
Player stats since 1989 From all available scorebooks, stats have finally been gathered thanks to the help of Ricky Breakwell , Angela Willis and David Black. They have been included in a booklet that is in the Pavilion to view.
History of Cornwall Park and the game of Cricket in Hastings. This has been researched and placed in booklet form in the Pavilion.

The thirds have won the third grade competition. This means that we have won the premier, senior and third grade competitions.

With one 2 day game to go the seniors have won the senior competition. Achieved this last weekend by beating NOBMarist outright by inns and 70 runs.
With one 2 day game to go the Premiers have won the HB 2 day competition. Beat Taradale outright last Sat too by 9 wkts
Senior prizegiving Set for Saturday 1st April in Pavilion at 7.30pm. Gold coin entry and juke box coming. All players, associate members and supporters urged to attend.
Junior Prizegiving and team photographs Sunday 2nd April at 3.30pm in Pavilion. All schooll age players and families welcome.
Club Day Saturday 25th April at 2pm - mixed teams of Club members to play a 30 over slog-a-thon on "Lords". Last bat for summer. Fun day/game whether you are asked to play or watch.
